The right care

SEKRÈ mystery bags do not require any special care. In any case the handbags should not be exposed to the blazing sun or moisture for too long. Every high-quality leather will be affected by such maltreatment.

If soiling occurs, it is usually sufficient to carefully wipe the leather with a dry cloth to remove dust or other dirt. If stains are still visible, moisten a soft cloth with distilled water and a little curd soap and gently rub the soiled area. Normal tap water may form white lime spots.

In case of persistent soiling, you can also use distilled water together with a grease dissolving detergent. Please do not use any aggressive cleaning agents. They can damage the leather and leave permanent marks. Never rub or press too hard when cleaning to prevent dirt particles from being pressed into the leather. After cleaning, gently rub the bag with a small amount of leather grease.

Care of the LogoPlates

The cover buckles are made of fine sterling silver. Silver is a natural element that reacts to oxygen over time. Inevitably, it will produce silver sulphide after some time causing the LogoPlate to darken and sometimes develop stains.

This patina is quite intentional since it gives an individual touch to each bag. Anyone who prefers a shiny LogoPlate can buy specially coated silver cleaning cloths from a drugstore or supermarket to easily remove discoloration.

Repair Service

Should your bag ever be damaged you can send it to our repair service at any time or ask our authorized shops. For extensive repairs we will be happy to provide you with a cost estimate beforehand. With the purchase of a SEKRÈ mystery bag you will receive a 10-year guarantee certificate against possible material or manufacturing defects. Please have the certificate signed and stamped by the dealer at the time of purchase so that it will be fully valid.
